VIKOMT/Coldstream split C60 (AE006) $6(USA)/$8(WORLD)”Drones without borders. This split C-60 release is a meeting place for the haunting spectres of U.K. artist Coldstream's dark ambience and the schizophrenic blending of erotic bliss drones and cathartic blasts of harsh noise from U.S. artist VIKOMT. An enthusiatic meeting place for rotting analog synth textures, heavenly guitars and torturted slabs of sheet metal.” Limited to 50 copies. HERE

ROR005 - Sean McCann/Black Eagle Child split C66 'New Molluska' $5.5(US)/$7.5(WORLD)"Another 'twofer here, this one being the second in a (hopefully) long chain of splits between Sean McCann and Mike Jantz (BEC). SM's side features squished synth and dripping strings, while BEC's side journeys to new lands, sailing from peninsula to peninsula until sundown. Produbbed, purple shells - limited to 100 copies."
ROR006 - Bats In The Belfry - 'Cobwebs' CDr $4(US)/$5.5(WORLD)
"Kellen Shipley's dream pop disc. Reverb-drenched vocals over drum-machine and guitar-scapes. Los Angeles folk, features many guest appearances. Hand stamped cds, limited to 75 copies."
ROR007 - Ugly Husbands/Old Softy split - 'Salmon-Chanted Evening' C60 $5.5(US)/$7.5(WORLD)
"A total 'twofer. Exceptional work from both artists, complementing and completing eachother's music. Stew's work mirrors the sound of plants digesting magnetic tape, only to be sewn back together by your Gamma. And if U.H.'s side represents the deep soil, then Old Softy's sound is ringing in the wind, floating by the moon. By far my favorite tape this year. Edited/mixed together by Sean McCann, who also plays on each side. Produbbed tan shells, unique hand-glued collages on each case, limited to 100 copies."
ROR008 - ROR Encyclopedia #1 - 'Fishing' CDr $4(US)/$5.5(WORLD)

SS?12 infinite space research program - 'future historical events (broken brains)' C10 5€
"Should space end ? No answer reveiled. Though this is an undefined transmission from a nearby future endeavor, it's as much anchored in past battles of glory. Slow brooding scapes that hibernate between sheets of rusted metal, similar to the crafts used by the Roman lords in massive killing sprees. A clear cut case of barking at the moon in search for the elusive and streaghtening Spear Of Longinus. Future historical events drenched in distant yet unreachable aspirations. It's not the man that has seen the future, it's the horrific depression he witnessed in the future."
SS?14 dj ketamine - 'indie welfare: in aqua - liquid trance' C20 5€
"Proof of time travelling. Reset memory cards to greyscale observation. Dj Ketamine is a quirky pioneer of the industrial/electronic body music underground. After years of hard isolated works he has stepped out of the shadow of his peers, leaving behind a trail of obliterate zeitgeist transcriptions and numerical codes. Fast mutated beats that pull the raver in a trancelike void of numb despair. Dreadful but beyond human prostition values. The music of the future - here today. Gravity deceiving goa-trance and cinematic soundscapes seen through the eyes of the party prophet. A horned beast wearing shirts as a hat, ornaments and phallus pillars of mass consumption lingering from his golden chestplate. Super kali mystra y delicious. Destroyer of lives. Preferably consumed in the corner of a factory, alone in the dark... Behind the cupboard you see a black elf playing a green harp in reverse, and that's where all the magical things happen 24/7. Arriving on the gooey Austrian shores in late june."
SS?10 monotonous worlds 2 - 'the creation of the infinite space knight' C20 5€
"Second volume in the ongoing aural explorer series where stones are turned and doors are sealed with concrete. A strong tool to transcend negative planes and absorb sinister flames. Tormented transmissions based on our mortal existence. Now overcome the pestilence and hold a knife to your throat for what seems like half an hour. False codes and portals to forgotten paths. Time to awake yourself from your zombie-like lifestyle, inject turbulent rotten dna and erwache. The key of joy is disobedience, so sit back and kill that six-pack with your inner demons."

ltd#40: keith fullerton Whitman – ‘taking away’ C64 $7(domestic)/$9(world)”this doozy has been a fleeting idea in the cosmos for a while now, but finally has poked its head through the electric ether and made an appearance. "taking away" is massive. two side-long 32 minute pieces for modular synthesizer that harken back to '70s minimalism and muted exorcism. each ride is like a golden river of dreams pouring through electronic excess. pointillist forays fall in-line perfectly with the hypnotic whirrs of subtle, synthetic manipulation. in all, whitman is at his best here. he finds the cracks between the crevices, lighting a new path along the way. edition of 200, pro-dubbed on high-bias cassettes.”
ltd#73: diamondhead – ‘corrective action’ C30 $7(domestic)/$9(world)
”junkyard strolls through the outskirts of rock n roll find a home with austin's most underrated jewels, diamondhead. after releases on russ waterhouse's white tapes and bryan day's eh?, this collection of songs from l.e. methe, r.j. reynolds & company are dinner scraps that have been rehashed and reformed into a total gourmet experience. guitars and piano knock each other over, trying to get to the foreront while methe belts it out. scarred, angular riffs fall deep into the dirt at times, leafing around for one last morsel of sanity. some songs include flute and vocals, sounding like a lounge band on a drunken voyage to west africa. this is the full package. everything on "corrective action" feels like it could implode at any moment. it's that last-thread mentality that pushes diamondhead's boundaries. there's good times and bad all laced-up and ready go into a pit of magnetic glory. edition of 70, pro-dubbed & snubbed.”
ltd#75: ALTAR EAGLE – ‘judo songs’ C38 $7(domestic)/$9(world)
”corsican paintbrush had a good run, but times move on, things change, etc etc. the spark was lost. so rather than close up shop completely, there were renovation plans, there were game plans, there were just a lot of fucking ideas that finally came together. the result: ALTAR EAGLE (all caps for maximum effect). this won't be what you expect. nope. hints of flaming tunes, specks of loveless, maybe an homage to new-school classics like bugskull. thick on the beats sliced and diced with drones galore, ALTAR EAGLE is not yr mom's folk music anymore. edition of 125, pro-dubbed on pink and yellow high-bias tapes.”

v/a - 'Inner Ends Of The Coils' 11€(Europe)/13€(World)
"a guitar compilation featuring: Ashtray Navigations , Century Plants, Expo '70, Gart & Seekatze, Jeff Gburek, Guanaco, Steve Gunn & Heidi Diehl, Michel Henritzi, Melmac, Michael Northam, Nappe, Poldr, Przewalski's Horses, RST, Savage Sons Of Wallonie (Tom Carter & Paul Labrecque), Sun Stabbed Yeah, I know... another guitar compilation ! Of course, the purpose of n.o.t.#13 is not to present a compendium of "the best guitar players around" - the idea is more to gather a group of, though usually not linked together, akin sound artists in that they are more interested into the shadowy sides of playing, than into virtuosity. Accidents, silences, larsens, improvisation, amplifier hums, sometimes "bad" playing and wobbliness... And all the while, the artists featured here have the unique ability, while being always open to experimentation and research, to develop a craft and an ensemble of techniques of their own, making them both experimenters and performers. This is a limited print of 100 copies." HERE

TEXTURED BIRD TRANSMISSION - 'Blazing Animal Faces' CDr (DSL20) £3
"Dead Pilot Records Review "Textured Bird Transmission is a favourite of mine. Densely layered howls and moans, sharp flickering electronics, ghostly found sounds. Almost "doom ambient" in places, though not "heavy" - just very dark and bleak. The closing track however is my favourite as the mood turns from bleak to blissful and we are treated to a chorus of kaleidoscopic synths. Recommended."

The Broken Penis Orchestra - 'Fuck Rockin' In American Airspace/Live at the Wooden Octopus Skull 2005' CDr/DVDr set DBL016.ECD202 $6.5
"2009 marks the 10th anniversary for Dick Flick & the Broken Penis Orchestra. 10 years of cutting up, toilet humor and downright absurdity. It has been a wild ride full of downs and ups rights and fights and it has all led to this. Fuck Rockin' In American Airspace is a dedication and a protest in one fell swoop. Dedicated to the sound artists, past and present, who have, and continue to challenge, amuse and confuse us. Without the inspiration drawn from the likes of the Mixed Band Philanthropist, Negativland, Nurse With Wound, Orchid Spangiafora and many others, the BPO simply would not be. Comfort the confused, confuse the comfortable as Dick likes to say...And a protest to the Supreme Jerks court ruling that all sampling is currently considered illegal. BAH! Fuck Rockin' In American Airspace! Also included in this set is a DVDr containing the BPO's live Sunday Sermon from The Bible during the 2005 Wooden Octopus Skull Experimental Musick pFestival in Seattle at the infamous Funhouse. I HEART LUNG/DWMTG - 'Ecstatic Jazz Duos' LP $13
”When the Ecstatic Jazz Duos LP series was first conceived in late 2007, I Heart Lung was the absolute first duo that came to mind. Both musicians are solid in their own right with projects that further their crafts — Chris Schlarb (guitar, electronics) writes video game soundtracks and performs live interpretations of his stunning solo effort, Twilight & Ghost Stories, with some of the most talented improvisers in the country, and Tom Steck (drums) is an accomplished painter. Compared to the lush free-jazz drones of Interoceans, I Heart Lung's contributions to the Ecstatic Jazz Duos series sound downright stripped down. These are three symphonies for riots, swords drawn at the hall of the mountain king with the spirits of Yes and Sonny Sharrock leading the way. Named Thurston Moore's favorite bass/drums duo a few years back, DWMTG is the collaboration between percussionist Dale W. Miller and electric bassist Tony Gordon. The two met in a studio and before long Gordon was giving the young indie-pop drummer free-improv lessons. DWMTG's side features ten miniatures that scramble through the quieter side of improv. The percussion is fiercely restrained — Miller mostly focuses on one thing at a time, be it a cymbal, an electric toothbruth, even a rubber ducky. Gordon is intensely intimate with his instrument — scratching and splintering his bass with a tension that at times gives the illusion of multiple dubs. Artwork and series design by Cristopher Cichocki. Edition of 500, 100 part of the Ecstatic Jazz Duos subscription series.”BRIGHT DUPLEX - 'Strawberry Trust' CDr $7
”Vanessa Rossetto first knocked us out with a trio of CDrs on her own Music Appreciation label. Her violin/viola improvisations and compositions saw through drones in the way Tony Conrad conjures multiple waves of sound just from one instrument. And when accompanied by electronics, Rossetto uses feedback as a terrifying weapon. Her duo with fellow Austinite Matthew Armistead (drums, percussion, clarinet) is an exercise in taut communication. Bright Duplex delights in little percussion clatters, hiccuping gongs, snares rubbed raw, wild reed melodies and strings bowed hard against the wood. When the duo reaches a climactic paramount, the drones thunder from temples like Taj Mahal Travellers. Pro-printed CDr comes in a mylar sleeve with artwork by Matthew Armistead printed on heavy cardstock and a vellum wrap-around. Edition of 100.”THE PISTIL COSMOS - 'A Long Figure in a Dreamlike Place' CDr $6
”With releases on Blackest Rainbow, Peasant Magik, Stunned and others, Vincent Caylet sculpts shamanistic psychedelic-drones. He records with the acid-folk-drone duo Monks of the Balhill and solo as "V," but under this concurrent solo project, the Frenchman reflects a roughly hewn ambience as The Pistil Cosmos. The six untitled tracks that make up A Long Figure in a Dreamlike Place do just that: It's a vision of a spindly creature on a hill, walking into the fog. Screeching feedback permeates with harsh beauty, raindrop loops develop like flowers blooming and wilting all at once, synths worship at a hidden sun, and Caylet emits wordless chants, summoning more clouds. Pro-printed CDr comes in a mylar sleeve with an all-vellum insert. Edition of 100.”WEBSITE

Lost Roman Legions - 'The Red Tape' tape 5€
"Deserted Village/Clean Teeth. Once again Gavin and David from UBS teamed up with Pumice recording while he was in Dublin for a gig. This time the Legions were augmented by Angeline Chirnside (Jane Austen, Wynter Ravn, Currer Bells) Angeline runs the Label Clean Teeth who co-released this tape. "Nice folk, singy plingy, soft drones type stuff recorded with live instruments. No manic overdubbing." No overdubbing of any kind in fact. United Bible Studies are off to Amsterdam at the end of this month to record a VPRO session with the DWARS show and to play the DWARS festival the next day May 23rd so perhaps we might see some of you there. The scene in Dublin seems to be getting healthier all the time with a lot of new DIY spaces opening up putting on BYOB gigs freeing us from the pub monoculture. The Shed has been around for longer than any of them though and I played there with my UBS collegues Bryan O'Connell and Diarmuid Mac Diarmuida recently in a free rock/death/jazz trio. It was part of Diarmuids new "Earthquack" series."

CFE#8: Pan to Scratch - 'The Stratified Course' C20 $7(US)/$9(INT)"Endless (perveyor of the wonderful Earjerk, member of Drunjus and Second Family Band) really knows how to scratch up a tape. The sounds of a tape recorder left on long after the music has ended. The whip of the wind over a built-in-mic, the pocket rustle and the panning hum of a car passing by. A walk through the woods picking up trash and banging out rythms on rust and paper cups. Riffing in a melodica found under the moss. Edition of 50 tapes in sewn burlap pouches with a cardstock insert."
CFE#13: Zashiki Warashi - 'Salamander' C60 $7(US)/$9(INT)
"Carter Thornton is no stranger to throwing something down, weather it's his recent LP on Conduit Creations with collaborations with everyone from Burning Star Core to Zaimph, or his time spent in Enos Slaughter (with brothers from NNCK and Sunburned), Izititiz, and Piegeons, the man has made a dent in the New York shamble folk that's for sure. This tape show's a wide range of everything from his off-kilter, ringing classical guitar work to bent up mixes of swirling static, dog barks, jingled bells and jangled drums, and slowly building into the intense fuzz of the B-side only to end with a warped keyboard demo jam at the end. Strange is only the beginning. Edition of 50 tapes in full-color wrap-around 'Wappenhalter-style' sleeves laid on leaves picked from the summit of Mt. Jeez and tied shut with twine."
CFE#14: Joseph McNulty - 'For Warm Fire & Earth' C41 $7(US)/$9(INT)
"When he's not teaching kids saxophone, Joseph McNulty lays down a string of guitars, tosses them into a pile of drums and noises, and occasionally drops a few words on top. A pure garden of back porch folk without the downer. A good time to be had just laying back on the tree-trunk and reading a book. Bright and coasting with the wind, droning into melodies to BBQ to and spinning it all back home to the melodies first handed to you. Spring time tunes at their finest. Edition of 50 tapes in wrap-around collage art tied closed with twine with two cardstock inserts and a piece of a local map."
CFE#15: Second Family Band - 'Winged Stomp House' C60 $7(US)/$9(INT)
"Winged Stomp House indeed, the Second Family Band - a rag tag Wisconsin crew risen from the ashes of the Davenport Family - coast through airy yowls and yelps, stomping the floor in unison, synths blurting, flutes screaming, a swirling mess of a bonfire party. Stay out of the field if you can't handle to riffs. Lovingly captured by Endless to handheld cassette on the first of March, featuring a full on line-up of Dave 3000, Ol'Son, Iam Lee Ian, Woodman, Clay Ruby, Nico Kain, Ivan Mairesse, and Endless himself. This one's a burner.. Edition of 50 ember-orange pro-dubbed tapes in fire singed wrap around sleeves with pine-tree stamp burnt windows and an insert."

Anvil Dome - 'Within Huron' C22 OBC-039 $6"The latest from Object Tapes. Two spacers... nice, thick, fuzzy, dark age drones from this contender. E.C. Brown and I'Diamond - 'Gothick Reforme' EJK-021 $6
"Everything just keeps getting darker and darker... It just must be time for this lost treasure to be unearthed. In 2001 someone gave me a cd-r. They said they knew I liked "strange music" and they thought I should have this. The cover art was a robed figure with a golden mask and the back had a similar figure (perhaps female) posing with similar robes and a different mask. Both figures were set against a background of neon pink and yellow forest leaves. Somehow, despite the colors, there was something definitely ominous about the artwork for this cdr. And the same can be said of the sounds within. Truly ahead of it's time, I had no frame of reference for this at the time. I kept the cdr mostly to myself; a secret revealed only to some. Very few were ready to except it's slimy, sometimes oppressive atmospheres, it's jarring, film score "scene changes", and it's mixture of Free(k) Folk, Noise and even Black Metal tendencies. Earjerk has tracked down Mr. Brown and has re-issued this wonder on puke pink or yellow cassettes for all the world to hear. The original artwork has been lovingly re-formatted for cassette. No longer will this linger in dark corners of cardboard boxes and basement floors, subject to CD rot and digital decay. Buy this. Be the first to say you weren't there."

DW020 Evening Fires – ‘New Worlds for Old’ $13
"New Worlds for Old is the fifth Evening Fires release, and easily the most sizeable one yet. Parts were recorded in early 2008, at a time when the group was trying out its m.o. in a more obviously “rock band” format than usual, though with a pretty wide range that takes in everything from apocalyptic acid sludge to elastic folk rock to large-booted klang, along with further permutations that no one is quite sure what to call. But the rock formations cover just part of the sonic landscape, and there’s also plenty of room for sun-dappled butterfly folk, Appalachian-Mesopotamian village festivals, an interplanetary prana-powered pipe synthesizer, and various other sorts of world-conjuring. Just eight tracks that stretch out across two sound-filled discs, over two hours of long-form explorations."DW019 The Goner – ‘H.H.’ $13
"H.H. reissues a pair of wonderful 2008 folk-psychedelic-experimental discs by a Swedish artist called the Goner. We first heard about him from our friend Mats Gustafsson, who wrote that the Goner “delivers spiritual music that accompanies dreams, as it organically flows across the sky when you're walking to work and creeps up on you when you least expect it to. It's tempting to place his work along the lines of Hush Arbors and Six Organs of Admittance and although that's true you can also hear his background in the lo-fi scene”, not to mention subliminal influences ranging from Swedish folk songs to the trippier end of technoid electronics, all processed via a sonic template that’s both richly layered and authentically “there”. Of the two discs, Hind Hand works as a flowing instrumental psychedelic journey, while Haven experiments a bit more broadly with style and instrumentation (including vocals), and together the two tell a story that’s as deep as it is wide. Seventeen tracks across two discs, around ninety minutes of music."DW018 Ashtray Navigations – ‘Sugar Head Record’ $13
"Over the past decade and a half, Phil Todd's long-lived & insanely prolific Leeds-based outfit has been boggling adventurous heads with infinite variations on its central uber-maximalist noise/psychedelic/ur-drone forms. AN have always been masters of the long take, and Sugar Head Record features just three mostly-Todd tracks: Disc 1 is entirely filled by "Sugar Head Music with Sines", an hour of undulating electronic tapestry swathed in layers of gooey psychedelic lava. Disc 2 leads with "Orange Matter Custard", nine minutes of Todd's patented modal guitar extremity, strings shredding off into pure electrification; and closes with the colorfully-titled "Toilet Training", adding regular collaborators Phil Legard (Xenis Emputae Traveling Band) and Melanie Crowley (Ocelocelot) for 43 minutes of glacially-paced swells of electrical haze. For already tuned-in households, a totally necessary release; for virgins, well, with AN it's all the deep end, so this is as good a place to dive in as any."DW017 Evening Fires – ‘Blue Mountain Water’ $10
"Evening Fires' fourth release was originally planned for another label, but when it went belly-up we just had to give the album a rescue via Deep Water. In Fall 2007 a core trio version of the group took the sounds underground (literally – all tracks here were recorded in subterranean settings), exploring collective creation in mostly non-rock formats. The results are decidedly rustic (presented in genuine you-are-there-fi MONO-SONIC sound) and both outward- and inward-bound at the same time. From opiated acoustics to howling electronics to spacious tribal percussion explorations, Blue Mountain Water gives a window onto a spontaneous-shamanism side of the band not usually heard outside of the root cellars and mountain caverns of their northern Appalachian home. Five tracks, 45 minutes."WEBSITE

Bark Haze - 'Our Love Will Destroy The World' split 7" £4Campbell Kneale moves ever closer to the glistening, levitation altar, with backwards bliss-shimmer, spooked chant and analogue squawk and squeal, kaleidoscoping around triumphant snare punctuation. Bark Haze (Andrew MacGregor and Thurston Moore duo) hit back with focused power-drone guitar duelling from the heart of the bong, smoking out into tunnel-visoned, crumbled-amp chunder. Art by Campbell Kneale/Kim Gordon."
Golden Oaks Three Billion CDr £4
"2 track pleasure drone experience from this sun-gazing star-stroker trio. Blissed sun-scraping guitars, hot seabeds of soft breath and moan, cosmos-waltzing casio, and fluttering clarinet a/descensions. Wear your astronaut fruit-hat and drink from coconuts in the nowhere zone. Art by Jason Kerley."
Alpine Lager CDr £3
Recorded live to boom box, 20 minute episodic wander through heavy feedback webs, feral throat panic, and scorched-rainbow keyboard/guitar wigging.

NP060 FNU Ronnies s/t 1-sided 12" (silkscreened picture disc.)
"This record has been in the works for a little while now and we couldn't be more happy to see it finally out. FNU Ronnies find home turf in both Philly and Oakland and have a previous 7inch on Richie Records. This 12" contains the same material as the recent cassette/CD on Denmark's Skrot Up label but we think you'll find the reissue well worth it. Deluxe art work by band member Jim Vail with silkscreening by Shawn Reed, FNU Ronnies are a weird almost indescribable mix of fucked up hardcore propulsion, industrial heaviness, electronics thrashing, and punked out cyborg nihilism. Aesthetic themes elude to psychedelic nightmares, Middle Earth monsters, and generally dark times. Seeing this band live last summer was a revelation into how musical genres could be mutated into something truly unpredictable and inspiring." HERE25 Apr 09

ACE027: Concern - 'Truth & Distance' $13"Gordon Ashworth is Concern and this is his manifesto. "Truth & Distance" is a mini-epic, a minor masterpiece. Within these sonic walls lies a stunning landscape, adrift in golden tones and silver siren songs. Ashworth creates beautiful, shimmering music that defies categorization. It stands on its own, droning away into the furthest reaches of the night. Using only acoustic instrumentation, Ashworth conceives pieces of music in which resonance and timbre mutate and in the air and unfold naturally, organically. Hints of piano glisten like night shadows whispering through the leaves. Strings are bowed and plucked into oblivion. Everything is turned into a pile of reverb. Everyone is a ghost. Concern will shine a light on it all. "Truth & Distance" indeed. It's all coming up roses this time. Co-released with Iatrogenesis. Packaged in custom-designed silkscreened gatefolds by Seizure Palace." HERE

starsircleanatomy – ‘it’s fucked up; it’s a rainbow’ C30 $4
“it's fucked up; it's a rainbow is a tape of some of the songs izaak wrote in 2008. they are kind of about how going away can show you new stuff but won't really fix anything that's wrong or weird and how that all works out. 9 tracks: some sung songs and some weird sounds. about half and half. beautiful covers by actual artist chris hunt; each is different and cool. editition of 111.”
the third eye of sauron – ‘lidless, wreathed in flame’ C32 $4
”the third eye of sauron's debut tape is kind of a doozy. like watching inland empire on mushrooms. maybe. dark earth drones from the creepiest windchimey santa cruz nights. long delay trails and huge gangs of distorted held keys & guitars. samples punctuate cavernous sound walls. all pretty, all power. edition of 50.”
gkfoes vjgoaf – ‘what is a dream earth bed’ C60 $4
“what is a dream earth bed is sean's first recording as gkfoes. he's in this great band called campfire but he does this other music too. these are some far out jammz; some weird sung songs and some really dense loopy space music kind of alternate over the 60 mins. lots of T.V. samples and huge bright textures and fierce guitar strumming, all bases covered, really. solar power music. it's good. edition of 50.”

various - 'Pins of Light resurrected' CDr
"I figured we would have burnt up in the sun or at least fried our minds by now, but never thought we'd still be here to celebrate our tenth folkwaste release with this new compilation. Originally put out in scant quantities, totally undistributed and out of print before this website even existed, the very first "Pins of Light" compliation attempted to re-create the much beloved and/or much hated radio show of the same name. This time some new favorite artists to contributed, built on the foundation of tracks from the first incarnation, and reworked into this crazy psych drone MONSTER. Resurections and recollections. Reincarnations and zombies. Exclusive new tracks from Archers by the Sea, Enfer Boreal, Strongly Imploded, Newyaki, Vishnu Woods, imps, partli cloudi and an excerpt from the on-air VxPxC performance. Plus vintage maddness from Starving Weirdos, Shearing Pinx, and VxPxC. Super limited to 49 copies, mindburning art and third eye 3D glasses!"
Book of Shadows - 'secretgarden' CDr
"Medicinal plants, strange berries, thick pollen, and brown dirt. Hailing from Texas, the Book of Shadows live in the soil trodden on by Jandek and Charalambides, sprouting from those voices, those guitar sounds. This secretgarden will grow on you, it's roots will envelope you, it's beauty overwelm you. Alternating between composition and improvisation the guitars echo down like the rain, drones warm the ground, thorny notes scrape up against the fragile skin of Sharon Crutcher's voice. Water your minds, shine from behind your eyes. Block printed book style packaging, super deluxe, and limited to 55 copies."
PARTLI CLOUDI - 'rotten wood' CDr
"Immigration problems plague these bedroom psych four trackers from leaving the house, making spirit tape the medium for their blissful astral communication. Partli cloudi channel lustful demons and inner gods, focussing lower chakras to attract worshippers. Strange strings, odd percussion, smoky chanting, weird vibes. Looping delay pedals prove past, present and future no longer have meaning. No leaves were left unburned. Favorite things left unheard. 14 tracks. Limited edition of 25, with burnt wooden cloud sleeves.
