Records and Bone Tooth Horn....and they have played countless shows alongside tons of amazing bands like... The Usaisamonster, Lazy Magnet, Byron House, King Darves (who has also contributed drums for HAB), Blues Control, Ducktails, Mouthus, Panopticon Eyelids, Drums Like Machine Guns, Car Commercials, Blastocyst, Earth Crown, Slasher Risk ....just to name a few... This is a 4 song one-sided vinyl EP limited to 250 copies."
Olelé Brut - 'Its Only Rock And Roll' C30 $7
"Erik Hurtado is a collage and sound artist from Spain. This tape finds him cruising easy street in a red cadillac filled with blowup dolls and mescaline. Some songs are solo acoustic pop numbers, reminiscent of neo-crooners like Daniel Johnston or Herman Dune. Still, other tracks like Puzzle Fatal and Marinero Blanco remind me of being stuck inside a classic NES system pondering portal surfing with Sun Ra while Terry Riley bangs on a half shredded speak and spell and Syd Barret blows smoke in my face." Pro-printed covers featuring a collage by Hurtado himself.
Pink Buffalo - 'Meridian' C45 $7
"Two sides of relaxing haze. "It is an explainable "unexplainable". Inflatable knowledge from a world that was presumed far beyond our 3-D structure. A page of mystery...." - Cetacean Nation Communications Assorted full color covers featuring a water color collab by both members of Pink Buffalo."
Golden Oaks Three Billion - 'Hawaiian Rainbow Fountain' C20 $7
"Shimmering drone unit from Bournemouth, UK. With song titles like"Tequila Sunscraper" and "Pineapple Gazebo". Totally focused, multilayered droplets of sound blur together to form a fine rainbow mist of ecstatic-beach vacation-vibrations."
Drifts - 'Volute & Turreted' 2xCassette $7
"Double econo-synth action unit. 2/3rds of Bladder Stalks (of Louisville Castle). Recorded to 4-track one evening December 2008. One 32 minute cassette featuring the original mix down with shorter, more concise tracks. One 90 minute cassette of much longer, more open-ended jams. Outtakes, false stops & starts...whatever....all included."
Uneven Universe - 'Tarot' C30 $7
"Some really weird/gross Yeast Curd style no-fi sqeaks on the b-side. Comes in assorted, pro-printed collage covers."
Kutomo/Maan Aura C45 $7
"Kutomo is a solo playing of Veli-Matti. One trail started since 1978, but someone walked it with Kutomo until 2001. Veli-Matti has made works with e.g. Kulkija, Vapaa, Keijo & the Free Players, Aan, Larkin Grimm and Kheta Hotem. Maan Aura is Veli's new band. Together with Kullervo Koskiaho and Veema Vaala. The trio plays Finish dream-psych and swirling tape warble. This feels like floating hash clouds enveloping your cortex."

TSUKIMONO - 'TIME CANVAS' 2xLP (RTB#37)
"Long anticipated vinyl version of Tsukimonos grandiose Time Canvas, originally released as a limited CDR on Kning Disk spring 2007. A true gem when it comes to drone-based music, this recording still stands out as Tsukimonos finest moment. Each track is based on a sample on one specific instrument. Slow and quiet and big and brutal at the same time. Incredible beauty indeed. The deluxe 2xLP version also comes with a side-long bonus track recorded in 2008. Letterpressed silver ink on black cardboard sleeves. Liner notes by Matthias Andersson (RTB Records), PM Jönsson (Sound Of Music/Sonic), Gustav Rosengren (Kalligrammofon) and musician Viktor Sjöberg. Also comes with a coupon for a digial download of the album, which also includes The Lesson, a second bonus track." Limited to 525 copies. Time Canvas was a big step in my development as a (solo-)musician. Up until this recording, my music as Tsukimono had been steeped in vst-effects & plugins, and I was quickly tiring of it. I decided to strip my computer of almost everything except a simple sampling/sequencing program and started working on a few new pieces where I zoomed in on a single instrument/soundsource to see what I could get out of it using only raw, untreated samples (save some pitchshifting). During this time I was spending up to 2 hours or more each day commuting between home & school and the breathers I got while on the trains proved a perfect time to work on this new music. To shut out all the everyday noise and stress and to focus solely on these samples/pieces made me feel calm and soothed. Thanks to the people who's ‘playing’ on the album: Emelie Molin, Kristofer Ström and Erik Levander. Thanks for lending your breath and time.” - Johan Gustavsson/Tsukimono"HEAVY WINGED - 'SPREADING CENTER' CD (RTB#36)
"Two new long tracks from Heavy Winged, following up releases on Three Lobed, Archive, Not Not Fun etc. Massive and big-sounding stuff, but with more subtle and quiet openings and endings, and without ever loosing the abrasive feeling of being dragged in grit and dirt forever and ever. Driving and powerful proto-psych-metal that manages to sound very much improvised and extremely focused and precise at the same time. Both tracks recorded live, Loudun recorded in Davis, California on 6/30/08. Strigoi recorded in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York on 11/2/07. Limited one-time pressing of 500 copies. Dual Plover gatefold sleeve with black felt and artwork by Twin Vixen. Play it loud."WEBSITE

ltd#44: pummeler s/t C22 $7(US)/$9(INTL)”i don't know if there's a more aptly named project around than denmark's pummeler. mikkel dunkerley is bounding around down in the murkiest depths. this stuff feels like it's been stripped bare by vultures, the bones left to freeze in the scandinavian air. distant metallic pings call you to your grave. these are heavy, black masses you can't avoid without being swalloed whole. dunkerley's use of varying textures is exceptional. his work is minimal yet enthralling. each piece, no matter how long or short, feels like an expansive wasteland of sound. listen once, you hear one thing, listen again and it's something else entirely. it's time you rolled it all downhill.” 60 copies, pro-dubbed & erupted. ltd#49: the old rig – ‘trembling static sky’ C26 $7(US)/$9(INTL)
”lost under a blanket of overgrown weeds and fallen branches is the remains of the old rig. this duo of patrack singleton and frank baugh (sparkling wide pressure - lp upcoming on digi) create organic webs of sonic detritus and sew its roots into the fertile, tennessee soil. black as night and sullen under a metric ton of fuzz, "trembling static sky" has washed out all the glitz and glam and taken these stellar drones into their mossy core. utilizing a variety of field recordings, these pieces are like a warm, flowing river of molasses. epic in scope and persistence, add the old rig to the list of growing concerns in tennessee. baugh & singleton are in it to win it. incredible artwork by bob vore. edition of 65, pro-dubbed and ready to go.” TRY

"ten duets" is exactly what it sounds like. each track is a duet between two different instruments - sometimes improvised, sometimes composed, but always absolutely stunning. instrumentation includes violin, banjo, mandolin, guitar, piano, voice, field recordings, & more. it's a beautiful document showing another side of broderick's immense talent.” edition of 300 pro-dubbed tapes. ”our man in ohio knows when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em cuz on "autumn fire blues," he's burning the whole thing into a pile of silken ash. fosco just plain rules. his skill in crafting soaring guitar drones is up there with the best of 'em. "autumn fire blues" takes what he started on last year's "dust, american dust" and pushes it over the edge and into the abyss. anchors of bleed drip from the ceiling coating everything in a thick layer or crimson bliss. this is music for the last season. music for the last days, to see us off into the heavens as they crumble. pure magic. pete fosco. for life. look for a digi lp later this year. edition of 85 copies, pro-dubbed like solid fucken gold.” TRY

Fossils – ‘Die Job' C30 $6(USA)/$7(Canada)/$8(World)
”The stoned saga of Ontario’s relentless destroyers continues. With tapes, electronics, guitars, reeds, and perhaps even the kitchen sink as their tools, you can always count on Fossils to deliver heavy batches of cathartic clatter and downright WTF. Die Job is certainly no exception. Side A teams regulars Steve Smith, Daniel Farr, and David Payne with Detroit bruiser Andrew Coltrane for a session that gradually builds and claws itself to fucking pieces. Side B finds the core duo of Smith and Payne administering the dosage much slower, but still burning all the way down. Bleached scalps and rattled bones may result from listening to these recordings.” With full color art, inserts, and labels by Matt Yacoub. Edition of 50.HeadBoggleD – ‘rchive #3' C30 $6(USA)/$7(Canada)/$8(World)
”In a universe of incredible synth jammers that grows more crowded by the second, Bay Area’s Derek Gedalecia is truly a standout. Eschewing pleasant melodies and anything even remotely new age, Gedalecia uses his analog gear to disorient, discombobulate, and deteriorate. The third part in Head Boggle’s ongoing rchive series buzzes through your cranium in so many different ways: sharp beams of sound, rumbling oscillations, and plenty of bizarro, brain-bending field recordings from who-knows-where. Side B is an entire live set that throws a hand-cranked music box in the middle of the synth storm. To say “it works” would be an understatement. Draw the wildcard and unleash the madness.” With full color art, inserts, and labels by Matt Yacoub. Edition of 50.Chapels – ‘In Aspic' C25 $6(USA)/$7(Canada)/$8(World)
”This new project sees Buffalo’s Adam Richards (of The Circle and the Point and the House of Alchemy label) playing the role of lo-fi exorcist. In Aspic is a fascinating, addictive listen that extols both warm melodies and eerie vibes in heavy doses at once. Richards juggles guitars, synths, and hand percussion to lift spirits from the tape hiss and cause all the floorboards in the house to creak at once. It’s densely-layered and swirling at one moment, sparsely whispering the next, yet always beautiful and engrossing in its own haunting way.” With full color art, inserts, and labels by Matt Yacoub. Mincemeat or Tenspeed – ‘Manifest Wizard’ 2CDr $12
”Mincemeat or Tenspeed is a one man project from Philadelphia. After years of failing to learn how to play a musical instrument in any capacity whatsoever, an accidental set of "rules" (no synthesizers, sequencers, drum machines, computers, or instruments) suddenly made everything very easy. Using only effects pedals, MMoTS has been working on finding melodies and rhythms that exist only in malfunction. This' a double Cd-R "concept" album it's split like this: Manifest Cd- Most of the music played live from 2007-2008 and a few others that were worked out well before recording. Many takes were made of each song, much deliberation and thought was put into which tracks would make it to the CD. Sequencing was done over the course of many weeks. Mastered by Joe Lentini. Wizard CD - Made up entirely of tracks that were one off recordings. Improvisations, music that didn't work well in a live show, tracks recorded and forgotten. Picked and sequenced in an afternoon.” Limited to 100. HERE23 Mar 09

STUMP-03 – GRANNY FROST s/t C28 “Released earlier this year on cd-r, this mini-opus from Kevin Oliver rips through 9 cerebral tracks in just under 14 minutes. This cassette release is an upgraded version of the cd, featuring reworked versions of several songs, plus one totally brand new track. STUMP-04 – MASTER-REDACTORS – ‘Rock & Roll Revenge’ C28 “Master-redactors is Kevin Oliver, Ben Falk, and two guitars. That's all they need. ASTRO/FAMILY BATTLE SNAKE split LP (PAN 1 / Hanido Sounds)
"Delving into the realm of deep listening, transported by way of analog synthesizers, Family Battle Snake weaves an electronic web that cocoons the listener in warm cascading frequencies. Calls to mind classic electronic composers such as Charles Dodge, Eliane Radigue and even a hint of NWW. Family Battle Snake is Bill Kouligas, a London-based Greek who also performs and records with Sudden Infant. Astro is Hiroshi Hasegawa of the legendary and now defunct Japanese noise unit C.C.C.C. Sonic waves of squealing feedback and oscillating waveforms meld with biting distortion in the appropriately titled "Lunatic Luminescence". Enveloped by haywire electronics and burbling loops & skree, Astro has constructed an impressive piece of modern electronic music of devastating magnitude. A fine document of pure japanese sonic nihilism and fresh deconstucted electronic frequencies." The Lp is mastered and cut by Rashad Becker in a limited edition of 330 hand-numbered copies, pressed on 140g vinyl and comes in a poly-lined inner sleeve. It is packaged in a pro-press jacket which itself is housed in a two-tone silk screened pvc sleeve with interweaving geometric designs.ANDY ORTMANN - 'Provocative Electronics' LP (PAN 2)
"'Provocative Electronics', first in a series of Electronic Music recordings from Andy Ortmann, is an exploration in analog synthesizers and recording techniques (eight different synthesizers were used on this record). As in the days of Musique Concrete and the beginning years of synthesizer development Ortmann experiments with tones and his own brand of electronic tweakage. Provocative Electronics is not an homage, but yet another document in the ongoing history of Electronic Music. Focusing on the aspects of 60's-70's era electronics, part academic (for fans of the 20th century Greek composer composer Xenakis, minimalist John Cage, or pioneers of Musique Concrete Pierre Schaeffer, Milton Babbitt, Tom Dissevelt, Ruth White, Delia Derbyshire, Lejaren Hiller, Raymond Scott, Jean Jacques Perrey and Pierre Schaeffer) and part cheesball (aka Mort Garson, Bruce Haack).Andy Ortmann is also known for his work with the transgressive experimental group Panicsville, acid psych freaks Plastic Crimawave Sound and sole curator of the equally bizarre Nihilist Records label." The Lp is mastered and cut by Rashad Becker in a limited edition of 330 hand-numbered copies, pressed on 140g vinyl and comes in a poly-lined inner sleeve. It is packaged in a pro-press jacket which itself is housed in a two-tone silk screened pvc sleeve with interweaving geometric designs."MARK DURGAN - 'Ploughing Furrows Into Rotten Burrows' LP (PAN 3)
"Made up of junk sounds, be they acoustic or electronic, 'Ploughing Furrows into Rotten Burrows' is informed by a caustic patience and steady pacing. With a concentrated approach, Mark Durgan makes the space, and even silences between sounds, an integral part of his constructions. He builds up tracks from the beginning with loops, samples or acoustic sounds, then the sound becomes quite automated due to the influence of the feedback generated from the electronic devices. For the past twenty years, Mark Durgan, known under the Putrefier moniker and his label Birthbiter (1986), is one of the few genuinely curious anomalies operating today. Disassociated with a lot of noise, he is more of a true outsider of this scene, somewhat akin to the older sound poets. Although their realm of art is very different to that of his, comparisons can be made. The lack of concrete documentation, both written and recorded, could be construed as an attempt at mystery, but the reality is that it all comes down to a total ambivalence about having a public persona. Despite that this is his first official work under his own name, it still bears similarity to the Putrefier concept. From the influences of Power Electronics and especially early nineties Japanese noise ('Cog Dominance' cassette, 1987 on Broken Flag), his music has developed into different areas of the avant garde spectrum, such as musique concrete, improvisation and electroacoustic music, demonstrated in one of his latest works done with The New Blockaders. Being able to appreciate other forms of experimentation, he takes noise to a different level." The Lp is mastered and cut by Rashad Becker in a limited edition of 330 hand-numbered copies, pressed on 140g vinyl and comes in a poly-lined inner sleeve. It is packaged in a pro-press jacket which itself is housed in a two-tone silk screened pvc sleeve with interweaving geometric designs."19 Mar 09

TCD17 Bubblewrap Holocaust s/t CD 12€"Bubblewrap Holocaust is one of these band that popping up with a more punk edge but not the spikey haired kind!!!! The band captures the primal thrust of punk and the playfullness of 60’s garage…The Stooges meet The Fall… an Amalgam of sloppy guitars, speedy base line and cahotic catchy tunes. The defining element of Bubblewrap is the singer’s snarling voice and offensive lyrics between irony and geekery. Colin speak-sings every song in a thick Scottish brogue… think about Mark E Smith…yes you can! This debut album is a great collection of short punchy songs each dynamic to sustain many repeated listen!"

DBA096 PUPPY DOG - 'iridescent blood' cassette
"Puppy Dog's band of acoustic pop punk, while in line with acts like A+ + and Foot Village, is distinctly more delicate. Xylophone and brutally minimal drums feather their way through reverb laden screams that beckon like a lighthouse to a sailor. There shall be no crashing on the rocks here. These 3 ladies know how to treat you right, especially if you're a punk looking for a little tenderness tonight." HERE

digiv003: scott tuma & mike weis – ‘taradiddle’ LP $14/$17/$25”Scott Tuma made his triumphant return earlier this year with "Not For Nobody" and continues to answer the call with this new, exquisite offering in collaboration with Zelienople's Mike Weis. "Taradiddle" is a new journey down similar terrain, searching out something new in a landscape that's been visited before. Take Tuma's capable hands and add the fantastic percussive talents of Weis and it's like the wheel reinvented. These two play off one another beautifully, with Weis creating layers of havoc beneath Tuma's pastoral missives. It's beautiful and dissonant. Weis is the perfect foil for Tuma's brittle sound world. The music breathes underwater, building and building on itself until it's risen into this majestic monument of glass. Archaic drones spit bombastic blasts of fire while the resulting sparks flicker into a million directions, flourescent in the night sky. Acoustic guitars drenched in reverb ring hollow with pianos echoing in the distance. Weis creates a river with swishing cymbals puncuated by fragile bells. Everything is bright, vivid, and new on "Taradiddle." Everything is perfect.” LP comes in fold-out silkscreened poster-style sleeve and is strictly limited to 300 copies. HERE
ace015: taiga remains – ‘wax canopy’ CD $13/CD + 3" CDr $16
”Taiga Remains is the brainchild of Cincinnati's Alex Cobb. Over the past few years he has developed a signature sound that blurs the line between blissed-out guitar work and atonal, blown-out dirges. Cobb never sits still; Taiga Remains is always moving forward, searching out new ideas and sounds. His label, Students of Decay, is clearing house for all things drone. This year he's been spotted on Root Strata, Callow God, Arbor and more. In the world of vinification, it's been a damn good year. On "Wax Canopy," Cobb pushes the line he's scratched in the pavement further than before. His soothing, six-string sorcery still dot the horizon on this album, but there's also a more angular, blown-out monster at work here. It's like he's channeling the angry spirits of the world into a fuzzed elegiac strains. This is powerful music built to shake the foundation and rattle your crystal bones. These diamonds are forever.” Limited to 500 copies. Cover art by Jefre Cantu-Ledesma. **NOTE: Special edition comes with extra 3" CDR with exclusive, brand new material** HERE

Locrian - '/Drenched Lands/'
"Since their inception in late 2005, Locrian have been honing their sound; working and re-working material; finding the right blend of noise, power electronics, dark ambient, and black metal to work into their sound. Drenched Lands is Locrian's first full-length studio recording of all new material, and unfolds with an almost narrative structure. It starts with a slow descent into a dark abyss, moving torturedly, gradually rediscovering the light, then leaving you where everything began - completely transformed. The hour-long disc is rounded out by an extended bonus track previously unavailable in any digital format. The black-on-black disc packaged in an arigato pack with a 4-panel insert. Edition of 1000 copies. Co-released by at war with false noise."

Tricorn & Queue - 'Perennial Language'"Tricorn & Queue have always reminded me of the beginning, of first rays and mitosis. I could hear the notes move, crawl, and multiply, albums made through the process of cell division. This one is different, a lesson from the master in the moments just before creation. There's focus and thought, maybe an attempt at rest, a last bit of respite before the work begins. Tricorn & Queue "Perennial Language" c42 - 100 white tapes with printed labels, in full color printed box. Art by Jason Rubino/Sir Salamander."
Sky Limousine - 'A Place To Live In Dreams'"Toothpaste doesn't naturally foam, nor do most household cleaners. Market research, however, discovered that people wanted it to foam, that was the measure being used on how good of a job it did. So they added a foaming detergent to their products and put them on the shelves. Luckily for us, we're smarter than that. It is now believed that it's just a matter of immersing the object in saline and playing the right music. That's how you stay clean. Chaostic Magic Lantern 3" DVD $5(US)"This release features Chaostic Magic performing the soundtrack to a slideshow created by Michael Griffen and Terry Newberg in the early 70’s in Bellingham, WA. Griffen was a visual artist in the 1960's and early 70's, so many were demo slides of his artwork that were either under or overexposed. Through burning, staining, and other alchemy, Griffen and Newberg transformed the slides into new works of art. The images and musical performance document on this DVD is Chaostic Magic's memorial for Michael Griffen, who passed away in January of 2008." HERE

JOSHOOA AND THE (7/13th) MOON – ‘the Hundred Monkey Effect’ C32 £3.5(UK)/£4(EU)/£4.5(World)"Murky underwater tape collages, haunted siren feedback, ghostly vocals, ancient lumbering figures sifting through the rubble. Joshua McAbee creates the most incredible experimental soundscapes, sounding like the perfect field recording beamed back from a crumbling futuristic Babylon." Limited 20 copies.
COMPASSING – 'old woes new hopes.' C50 £3.5(UK)/ £4(EU)/£4.5(Wolrd)
”Theres a hell of a lot going on in this new 10 track cassette by the two guys who make up Compassing. A microcosm of sounds, tiny little experimentations click into view then whirl away, an orchestra of warped instruments throb and groove against each other only to be joined together by the occasional chugging krautrock pulse and scattered free form drumming, kind of like Faust jamming with Taj Mahal Travellers and being produced by Louis & Bebe Barron.” Limited to 20. ONEOHTRIX POINT NEVER - 'BETRAYED IN THE OCTAGON" LP $15
"Note that orders will not begin shipping until 3/22/09 "Oneohtrix Point Never is Daniel Lopatin's project of polysynth epic electronic sound. Cascading melodies, holistic drones, and folding tones combine to create a dichotomy of sound that reflects on the organic discovery of our nature and the infinite possibilities within our enclosed human systems. Betrayed in the Octagon is a frozen fantasy, a liminal record that brings to mind caves and other hidden places where life started billions of years ago. OPN is a lost soul from the poysynth epoch giving a nod to the old masters while moving trough the systems of 21st century life and reflecting them in the pure beauty of total electronic moving sound. Originally released as a cassette on Deception Island in 2007, Octagon was the first OPN release. NFP is proud to bring it back re-sequenced and re-mastered for vinyl as the first OPN LP. Artwork by Chris Madak. Limited to 300 copies." -No Fun ProductionsINFINITY WINDOW - 'ARTIFICIAL MIDNIGHT' LP $15
"New York synth duo Infinity Window have been crafting their game for well over a year without much documentation. Comprised of Dan Lopatin (Oneohtrix Point Never) and Taylor Richardson (Prehistoric Blackout), this LP shows them at the pinnacle of self-realization. Equally influenced by John Carpenter and the Taj Mahal Travellers, they create traveling music; music that has the power to transport and overwhelm the listener with vibes outside of those presently available to them. The A-side consists of two tracks, both clouded in a heavy haze of fog, dark and heavy though their clarity exists underneath the shroud. The B-side's lone track 'Skull Theft' is the full circle realization of the first two tracks: a light is illuminated and the fog begins to clear. Mastered by Keith Fullerton Whitman. In an edition of 500 LPs with full color pro-printed cardboard sleeves and printed labels with art by Robert Beatty (Hair Police / Burning Star Core)." -ArborWEBSITE
